Health information is everywhere. But knowing what information applies to you, when to take action, and what to do next is not always easy.
That is why we are launching Ofure Health Conversations, a new fortnightly virtual series bringing people together with health professionals for practical, understandable conversations about prevention, early action and navigating healthcare.
The goal is simple: to help people become better informed about their health, recognise when something may need attention, and feel more confident about taking the next appropriate step.
Practical health conversations, every other Sunday
Ofure Health Conversations will take place every other Sunday at 7:00 PM WAT, live on Zoom.
Each session will focus on a practical health topic and provide an opportunity to learn directly from experienced health professionals.
Rather than overwhelming people with medical terminology, the conversations will focus on questions that matter in everyday life:
What should I pay attention to?
When should I be concerned?
When should I speak with a healthcare professional?
What might happen after I seek care?
How can I stay on top of important health actions and follow-up?
These are also questions at the heart of what we are building at Ofure: helping people move from simply having health information to knowing what action to take next.
Our first conversation: Know Your Breasts
We are launching the series during Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a conversation about breast awareness.
Know Your Breasts: What changes should you pay attention to?
Sunday, 11 October 2026
7:00 PM WAT
Live on Zoom
Knowing what is normal for your breasts can make it easier to recognise when something has changed.
During this practical conversation, we will discuss breast awareness, changes people should pay attention to, and when it is important to seek professional assessment.
The session will also explore why acting on a concern rather than ignoring or postponing it can be an important part of looking after your health.
The aim is not to encourage fear or self-diagnosis. It is to help people become more aware, ask better questions and know when professional advice may be appropriate.
Meet our guest speaker
Our first guest speaker is Nr. Nana-Hauwa Lawal Adeyemi, Deputy Director of Nursing, Oncology Nurse Leader and Nurse Educator at National Hospital Abuja.
Nr. Adeyemi has more than 25 years of experience in oncology nursing practice, education and cancer control in Nigeria. She holds a Master’s degree in Oncology Nursing and coordinates the Oncology Nursing Programme at National Hospital Abuja.
She also serves as Vice President of Women in Nuclear Nigeria and has extensive experience supporting professional development and patient-centred cancer care.
Her experience in oncology nursing and health education makes this an opportunity to hear directly from a professional who has spent many years supporting people affected by cancer and helping healthcare professionals strengthen cancer care.
Hosted by Ofure Health
The conversation will be hosted by Emmanuel Okonofua, Co-Founder and Clinical Strategy Lead at Ofure Health.
The session will combine guided discussion with practical education and opportunities for participants to ask questions relevant to the topic.
More conversations are coming
The first edition is only the beginning.
Ofure Health Conversations will continue fortnightly, exploring areas such as cancer awareness, men's health, cardiometabolic health and other preventive health topics that align with Ofure's mission.
Upcoming conversations will be published on the Ofure Health Conversations page as they are confirmed.
You only need to register once for the series. Registered participants will receive information about upcoming sessions and joining details.

Act early. Know what to do next.
At Ofure, we believe better health journeys begin with knowing which actions matter and being supported to complete the next step.
Ofure Health Conversations is another way we hope to make practical health information easier to understand and act on.
We look forward to having you join the conversation.
